The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, an AAA, Five-Diamond resort unveils a multi-million dollar renovation of 15,000 square feet of meeting space, the luxury lake resort’s 27,000 square foot Spa and an expansion of the outdoor pool deck. The renovation was completed by international award-winning hospitality interior design firm, Design Duncan Miller.
“My team and I are thrilled and extremely proud to see guests and visitors enjoying the beautiful renovations to the resort’s Spa, meeting space and outdoor pool deck,” said General Manager, Ralph Vick from The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. “We collaborated with meeting planners, our expert Spa professionals and the design team at Design Duncan Miller to ensure that the revitalization of these areas will serve the needs of our guests and provide them with elegant and functional places to work and relax while visiting The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee.
Meeting Space
The upgrades to the meeting spaces encompassed renovations to all indoor meeting and pre-function spaces including new carpet, fixtures and furniture with a color scheme that reflects the surrounding lake atmosphere. The lake-level space updates included six small meeting rooms (3,720 total square feet) and 11,400 total square feet of lobby-level space, including The Reynolds Ballroom (1,800 square feet) and The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom (7,200 square feet). The meeting spaces were redecorated with new luxurious fabrics stemming from the Arts and Crafts era in tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright. Guests will see unique carpet patterns reflective of Wright’s famous stained glass window designs in all the meeting and ballrooms.
“Our design team was inspired by the beautiful backdrop of Lake Oconee to bring the luxurious color palettes of the surroundings into the indoor spaces. Guest will now enjoy meeting spaces that are both highly functional, relevant and will address all of their business and leisure needs,” explained Megan Ybarra Haney, Senior Interior Designer, Design Duncan Miller.
Outdoor Infinity Pool
The outdoor infinity is the cornerstone of the lake resort’s backyard and the pool area now offers an expanded pool deck with 25 percent more seating, an updated sundeck with new lounge chairs, a custom-built wooden trellis and a renovated children’s pool complete with water features as well as additional restrooms. A new taco bar at the pool will offer a signature poolside snack that guests will enjoy while lounging this summer while enjoying the stunning views of the Lake Oconee.
Spa
The enhanced 27,600 square foot spa facility now offers a new treatment menu with an extensive selection of treatments showcasing the ESPA natural product line, updated relaxation lounges, a 24-hour access fitness center, men’s barber chair and an enhanced manicure and pedicure room.
The Spa menu features treatments like the signature vichy shower “Oconee Rain,” the new wrap “Creekside Body Cocoon” created exclusively for The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee by ESPA, the “Personalized Facial by ESPA” tailored to each person with deep cleansing and exfoliation and the “Golfer’s Tonic,” sure to be a favorite among the golfers drawn by the resort’s five world-renowned courses.
