The Tennis Member Appreciation banquet welcomed sixty-three Members of the Club at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Saturday, January 24th at The Lake Club. This annual event gives the Reynolds Lake Oconee Tennis program a chance to show appreciation to the many tennis enthusiasts that take part in the programming and tournaments held throughout the year for club members. Being at the start of a new year, it also gives a platform for rolling out new exciting programming for the months ahead.
There were several accolades acknowledged with this talented group of individuals from 2014. Two USTA State Championship winning teams were recognized and two individuals carried home awards from the evening as well. A “Tennis Fixture Award” is presented to a member that is most active in tennis hosted events and, club member, Brenda Bray was awarded with that very title having nearly perfect attendance on the 2014 calendar of tennis events. The Chris Villa Clinic Award went to Barbara Gordon for being the most active clinic participant throughout the year.
“This event is always so much fun,” says PBI Director of Tennis, Dave Neuhart. “Our members are such a fun and amazingly talented group of individuals. This is the chance to stop and really highlight them for the work they put in to support the tennis program here at Reynolds Lake Oconee.”
