We’re proud to announce that Reynolds Lake Oconee has been named one of the best golf communities in the country by LINKS Magazine. We are one of only 41 communities so honored in the 2015 “LINKS Premier Properties” edition.
Achieving “Best of the Best” status means providing “top-of-the-line amenities, unique experiences and lasting memories for discerning residents who expect nothing but the best.”
Other golf communities were cited in individual categories such as “Best for Golf,” “Best for Club Life,” and “Best for Outdoor Pursuits.” Reynolds Lake Oconee was one of the select few having the best of everything.
“Now in its third decade, this golf-community trailblazer located along Lake Oconee offers six courses by five legendary architects: Rees Jones, Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Bob Cupp and Jim Engh,” LINKS writes of Reynolds Lake Oconee. “Beyond golf, recreation opportunities abound along the 374 miles of shoreline of Lake Oconee. Bass fishing, boating, and water skiing are all popular activities.”
“The communities that made it through the recession are stronger than ever and offering more than ever before,” writes Jack Purcell, the president and publisher of LINKS. “Seven million (golfers) are Baby Boomers born between 1946 and 1964. In the next decade we’ll drive up the retiree households by 10 million.”
The question, Purcell says, is “What do you want to do with the rest of your life and where have you always wanted to live?”
The special edition of LINKS included more than 300 golf communities from throughout the mainland United States and Hawaii, as well as content on select international properties.
