Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce the recipients of its Third Quarter Employee Awards for 2020. Michael Carroll, Lead Assistance Golf Professional at The Landing, has been named Leader of the Quarter, while Kaylyn Hagan, Banquet Server, and Ron Huff, Lead Banquet Houseperson, have been named Employees of the Quarter.
A golf professional since 2005, Michael Carroll worked at golf clubs across the country, including The Club at New Seabury on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods New Hampshire, and Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina, before joining the Reynolds family.
Among his team, Carroll is consistently setting a leadership example that everyone wants to follow. He is vert professional, and gives each person he comes in contact with his total focus. All operations appreciate working with him, and he is a valued employee.
"The best part of my job is the sense of comradery among the staff and the appreciation we feel from our Members," says Carroll. "This year brought all of us new and unique challenges. The bond among our teams and the support and understanding of our Members allowed us to adapt our operations and continue to offer the best possible experience under the circumstances."
Carroll is a graduate of the University of Vermont, holds a certification in General Management through the PGA's Certified Professional Program, and is a member of the Club Management Association of America. In his down time, he enjoys exploring the surrounding area with his wife, Mary, and spending time with their greyhound and two cats.
As a banquet server, Kaylyn Hagan enjoys the opportunity to serve and interact with Members and guests and share in the fun of the events held at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
"I really love to help people," says Hagan. "It brings me joy to know that I'm able to make others happy just by doing little things for them. You never know what others are going through, so I try to be kind to everyone."
Before coming to Reynolds, Kaylyn Hagan worked as a Locations PA for the 2019 Will Smith movie, Gemini Man. Also a certified radiologic technologist, she plans to return to school to pursue nursing. In her free time, Kaylyn enjoys visiting her family or spending time with her dog on the lake.
Ron Huff joined the Reynolds Banquet team after working as a paraprofessional for the Baldwin County Board of Education. At Reynolds, he enjoys creating amazing events with his excellent coworkers.
"My favorite part of my job is seeing the finished product come to life," says Huff. "Initially during setup, it may not look like much, but when everything is finished, the final product is beautiful."
Huff enjoys playing sports, doing yard work, sharing the good news as a Jehovah's Witness, and spending time with his family and wife, Jessica.
