Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce the recipients of its Quarterly Employee Awards for 2024. Daniel G. Williams, in the Horticulture department, has been named Leader of the Quarter. Monica Brown, Snack Bar Attendant, Golf Shop Operations Preserve, and Marchelle Walker, Real Estate Coordinator Resales, have been named Employees of the Quarter.
With over three years of dedicated service, Daniel G. Williams has consistently demonstrated a passion for his work, a commitment to his team, and an unwavering dedication to the stunning landscapes that define Reynolds. "The scenery, the people and the support that Reynolds offers to their employees to help make them better, is what I enjoy most about my job,” says Daniel. “I love teaching everything I know about landscaping and horticulture, watching the team grow, and enjoying what we do for Reynolds."
Before joining Reynolds, Daniel owned his own landscaping company in Boca Raton, Florida, for 25 years. Managing over 15 employees and overseeing many HOA developments, Daniel brought a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the industry to his role. His educational background further strengthens his expertise. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Turf Management and Landscape Design.
Daniel is an exceptional member of the Reynolds Lake Oconee team. His extensive knowledge in horticulture, coupled with his genuine passion for teaching and mentoring, makes him a true leader. He embodies the values Reynolds strives for. Going above and beyond to ensure the beauty of the community and the growth of his team. As a Golf Shop Clerk at The Preserve, Monica Brown has consistently gone above and beyond over the past three years. Her dedication to ensuring the golf shop runs smoothly is commendable. Her unwavering commitment to excellence, exceptional work ethic, and genuine care for members make her a true asset to the team.
Monica possesses an unparalleled knowledge of the golf shop, and she has taken the initiative to learn every detail, from inventory specifics to the location of each item. Monica is the go-to expert, readily sharing her knowledge with a smile.
Beyond her impressive product knowledge, Monica has cultivated strong relationships with members. Her friendly demeanor and genuine interest in their needs create a welcoming atmosphere in the shop. Members appreciate her presence and often look forward to seeing her. She understands that personal connection is a key part of the Reynolds Lake Oconee experience.
When not helping members, Monica enjoys baking and cherishes quality time with her family. She is a devoted mother to a vibrant four-year-old daughter, Leilani, and is happily engaged to Barry.
With an impressive 18-year tenure, Marchelle Walker has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our community and remarkable dedication as Resale Real Estate Coordinator. Her positive spirit, proactive approach, and deep understanding of the Reynolds Lake Oconee community make her a true asset to the sales team.
Marchelle's journey at Reynolds Lake Oconee began as a Guest Services Representative, evolving into a Concierge role when Member Concierge and Guest Services merged. This foundational experience provided her with invaluable insights into the needs and expectations of our members.
Today, as a Resale Coordinator, Marchelle leverages her extensive knowledge and experience to excel in her position. Holding a Real Estate License, she navigates the complexities of preparing new MLS listings, drafting offers, and collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and Sales Associates. Her ability to engage effectively with various departments across the company highlights her collaborative spirit and deep understanding of the organization.
In her leisure time, Marchelle enjoys many activities, including fishing, immersing herself in PC and VR games, and catching the latest releases at the movies. She also shares her passion for music as a member of the Newton County Community Band.
