Reynolds Lake Oconee is proud to announce the recipients of its Second Quarter Employee Awards for 2017. Bill Greenwald, Executive Sous Chef, has been named Leader of the Quarter while Carol Harris, Administrative Assistant in Marina Operations, and Heather Dion, Architectural Review Board Coordinator, have been named Employees of the Quarter.
Before joining the Reynolds team in December 2011, Executive Sous Chef Bill Greenwald was the Chef at several other restaurants including Big Catch, Lake House Seafood, and Magnolia Gardens. Starting as a line cook, Greenwald has worked as a Chef Tournant, Sous Chef, and Chef de Cuisine before arriving to his current position.
“I enjoy working under Chef Derin Moore,” says Greenwald of his job here at Reynolds. “He enables us to set the bar high so that our members are proud to call Reynolds their home.”
When not cooking in the Reynolds kitchens, Greenwald enjoys fishing for bass on the lake or squeezing in a round or two of golf. However, he says this will most likely change in the future, as he and wife Grace recently welcomed home a son, Liam Matthew Greenwald.
Prior to beginning her career with Reynolds in July of 1999, Carol Harris worked in accounting for Amerigas in Union Point. Within the Reynolds family, Harris has worked in Sales, Accounting, and now as the Administrative Assistant for Marina Operations.
“I like to stay busy, and there is always a lot to do here,” says Harris. “My coworkers also help to make my job easier and guarantee that there is never a dull moment.”
When she’s not working around the four marinas onsite, Harris enjoys cooking, reading, working in her yard, and going to a ballgame with one of her four grandchildren; Tyler, Ashlyn, Stuart, and Gavin.
When she joined the Reynolds team in January 2015, Heather Dion began as a Tennis Maintenance Worker, but has since changed roles to work as the Architectural Review Board Coordinator. Previously, Dion had a lengthy career with Pasco County Schools in Florida, working as a Custodial Coordinator.
“I like that my position allows me to meet all of our residents and that I get the opportunity to resolve any challenges the Board may face,” says Dion.
In her spare time, Dion enjoys fishing and kayaking on Lake Oconee and spending time with her husband Steve, daughters Meghan and Molly, son-in-law Nic, and grandchild Killian. One thing she is very passionate about is giving back, especially to JDRF and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, two causes that hit close to home for Dion.
