Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce the recipients of its Fourth Quarter Employee Awards for 2023. Bryce Barfield, Assistant Golf Professional at The Preserve, has been named Leader of the Quarter, Debbie Darity, Concierge for Member & Guest Services, and Janely Perez, Sous Chef in Culinary Banquets, have been named Employees of the Quarter.
Bryce Barfield joined Reynolds in October of 2022 as an intern and has quickly become a valuable asset to the team. Bryce’s passion for golf and dedication to Members is evident in his work. “I enjoy the people I work with,” Bryce says. “My team here at The Preserve makes everyday fun, no matter the challenges. I love teaching, being outside with our Members, and helping them get better is the best part of my job.”
Bryce would like to thank John Sitler for his guidance and the entire Preserve staff for creating a positive work environment. Bryce credits the strong sense of community at The Preserve for his enjoyment. “Having our three associations here – the MGA, WGA, and WGA 9 – has really given me the chance to get to know some of our Members, on a personal level that makes each interaction that much better,” Bryce says.”
Prior to joining Reynolds Lake Oconee, Bryce spent five years working for the Green Valley Golf Group in Locust Grove, Georgia. He played college golf for two years at Andrew College before graduating from Georgia College and State University in May of 2023. In his spare time, Bryce enjoys sim racing and watching NASCAR. He has even raced against real-life drivers like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and William Byron on iRacing.
Joining Reynolds in August of 2023, Debbie Darity has consistently impressed with her dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to our Members and guest services. She thrives in a collaborative environment and finds immense satisfaction in helping others. Her continuous learning ensures she consistently delivers exceptional service. “The sense of community at Reynolds Lake Oconee is a key factor,” says Debbie. “I love helping others, I love to see firsthand what a difference I can make, and I appreciate the opportunity for continuous learning and growth that comes with doing my job well.”
Having previously worked in hotel hospitality and insurance, Debbie brings a wealth of experience to her role. This diverse background allows her to approach challenges with a unique perspective and a commitment to excellence.
Debbie extends her gratitude to her husband, Joshua Darity, for his unwavering support, and their son, Neal Darity, who is a constant source of motivation.
Janely Perez has been an asset to the Reynolds Lake Oconee team for a year and a half. Her culinary skills, dedication, and positive attitude have made her a valuable member of the banquet kitchen. She thrives on the challenge of creating diverse, culturally inspired dishes that tantalize Members and guests palates and broaden their culinary horizons.
Before joining Reynolds Lake Oconee, Janely honed her skills as a cook at J Michael's Prime and RCB Restaurant in Cherokee County. This experience has provided a strong foundation for her current role. “I appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow at Reynolds,” says Janely. “I am particularly grateful for the supportive team environment that fosters my professional development.”
When not creating culinary masterpieces, she enjoys tending to her vegetable garden, especially during the vibrant spring season. However, her source of motivation comes from her family – her husband, Manuel, and daughters, Daniela, Sophia, and Jasmine.
