Reynolds Lake Oconee is pleased to announce the recipients of its First Quarter Employee Awards for 2022. Marc Strickland, ARB Administrator, has been named Leader of the Quarter, while Lynda Thomas, Lead Server, Food & Beverage Great Waters, and Norman Coleman, Reynolds Owners Association Maintenance Technician, have been named Employees of the Quarter.
A Reynolds employee celebrating fifteen years, Marc Strickland leads the Architect Review Board (ARB) at Reynolds. With Marc’s leadership, his team is able to serve our Members with excellence while coordinating the approval and inspection of hundreds of new construction and home improvement projects within Reynolds each year. Recently, demand for new projects has increased exponentially and Marc has handled the pressure effectively and with ease. It is difficult to quantify the complexity of Marc’s daily functions, but if you take a tour around the community, whether walking, biking, or by car or boat, you will see Marc’s impact all around Reynolds: from the beautiful homes and manicured landscapes to the cleanliness of construction sites and roads.
“I love working at Reynolds,” says Strickland. “I enjoy helping people, and it is a rewarding feeling to know I am helping grow our community.”
Marc is originally from Savannah and worked for an Engineering firm before joining Reynolds. At Reynolds, he started in the ARB department and has worked his way up into management. Along the way, he has gained respect from his peers for both his hard work and ability to handle tasks given to him with a positive attitude. This positive attitude and commitment to improving himself make him stand out as a great leader.
When not providing inspections around Reynolds property, Marc enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, playing a round of golf, or anything to keep him outdoors. Marc and his wife of 21 years, Christan, have four children – Ella, Braden, Cooper, and Brayden.
Lynda Thomas joined the Reynolds family seven years ago as a member of the Food and Beverage Team at Great Waters, where she enjoys providing excellent and high-quality service for Reynolds Members.
“I enjoy being part of a team that supports each other,” says Thomas. “I like working with Members, and volunteering my assistance when needed. I also love the quality of care Reynolds shows their Members and guests.”
Before coming to Reynolds, Thomas worked in retail and was a bank teller. In her spare time, you can find her painting and spending time with her family: Lamar Cummings, her fiancé, and her daughter Avayah.
Norman Coleman, ROA Maintenance Technician, joined the Reynolds family seven years ago. Before joining Reynolds Norman worked as a General Manager for a Wholesale Distribution Center. In his role as Maintenance Technician, Norman strives to ensure that Members and guests always have the best customer service possible. He has become known to Reynolds Members for always having a positive attitude.
“I like the people I work with and the company's leadership,” says Coleman. “It’s nice being able to contribute to an atmosphere where people love visiting to relax and enjoy themselves. I strive to exceed our Members and guests expectations.”
When not at Great Waters helping Members and guests, you can find Norman hunting, golfing, and spending time with his children - daughter, Kristen, and son, Ross.
