Reynolds Lake Oconee is proud to announce the recipients of its First Quarter Employee Awards for 2017. Susan Ladner, Financial Controller, has been named Leader of the Quarter. Karen Chandler, Lead Bartender at Eighty8 Kitchen + Cocktails, and Willie Brown, Golf Course Maintenance at The National, have been named Employees of the Quarter.
Prior to joining the Reynolds team almost one year ago, Susan Ladner worked in the golf and club industry for 11 years in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Southport, North Carolina. Now as a Controller at Reynolds, Ladner enjoys getting to work with a wonderful group of people every day.
“There is an abundance of opportunity with my job,” says Ladner. “I have the chance to contribute to the company and the community each day.”
When not working, Ladner enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, husband Barry and daughter Shelby.
Before she started bartending at Reynolds in 2015, Karen Chandler lived in Buffalo, New York where she went to school for Culinary Arts and worked as a server and bartender. Now, as a part of the Reynolds team, Chandler enjoys spending her time behind the bar experimenting and learning to make new drinks.
“I enjoy how close I feel with everyone in Reynolds,” says Chandler. “The employees and the Members have become my family.”
If she’s not bartending at Eighty8 Kitchen + Cocktails, Chandler enjoys golfing, baking, and spending time with her daughter, Kaylee, and fiancé, Chef Adam DiChristina, Chef de Cuisine at The Landing.
Before joining the Reynolds team in 1996, Willie Brown worked at other area golf courses, a marina, and farmed. Brown now works as the Advanced A Operator at The National Golf course, where he enjoys taking in the scenery.
“Reynolds is a nice place to work,” says Brown. “And I love being able to work so close to home and with such great people.”
When not at work, Brown enjoys yard work, working on other jobs, and spending time with his wife, Patricia.
