It’s a trifecta for Reynolds Lake Oconee as two of its new amenities at Richland Pointe were cited for excellence by Golf Inc. Magazine, as was the new family pool at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee.
Richland Pointe, the new, master‐planned residential lakefront community within Reynolds Lake Oconee, was named the 2022 Amenity of the Year (first place in the Private Clubs category) by Golf Inc., a club and golf industry periodical.
Entries were judged on how well the amenity achieved its goals, as well as on aesthetics and financial benefit.
Of Richland Pointe one judge said, “This place checks all of the boxes—from amazing design and décor to luxury amenities galore, including workout facilities, pool, hot tub, spa, and golf.”
Designed by Kuo Diedrich Chi Architects, the 11,000-square-foot Wellness and Fitness Facility at Reynolds Lake Oconee-Richland Pointe is highlighted by five well‐appointed treatment/group exercise rooms, Technogym Biocircuit equipment, a yoga lawn, and an infinity‐edged adult relaxation pool. The new 35‐acre village was planned with elements of open‐air, laid-back living, and indoor high‐tech wellness. Interior design was by ai3 of Atlanta.
For Richland Pointe, Reynolds Lake Oconee ownership envisioned a community within a community where a generation of active member‐residents could gather and enjoy a slew of new and distinctive outdoor lifestyle and fitness‐oriented amenities.
Additionally, the new family pool at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds received second place in the Public/Resort amenities category. Interactive features like geysers, splash pads and a bridge, are surpassed only by expansive lake views from the zero-entry pool. The Splash Shack offers an array of food and drinks, including beer and wine on tap.

Rounding out the awards, the new restaurant at Richland Pointe earned a second-place finish in Golf Inc.’s 2022 Golden Fork competition. This lakefront restaurant is the centerpiece of the new village enclave and was thoughtfully designed to maximize what most private club clients want today: indoor‐outdoor bars and dining venues.
A lively indoor-outdoor vibe is enhanced by gracious seating areas and patios that spill out from the main indoor space and down onto a grass lawn along the lake’s edge. Ceiling fans and heaters control guest comfort.
