When The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee recently underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation, the resort’s Spa facilities were treated to rejuvenation, too. The 27,600-square-foot Spa now offers updated relaxation lounges, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a room dedicated to manicures and pedicures, a salon just for men, and an updated menu of treatments featuring the ESPA natural product line.
“The newly-renovated Spa is an amenity we are excited to celebrate and offer,” says Ralph Vick, General Manager of the hotel. “We strive to maximize the Spa experience while maintaining our reputation for luxurious and unique local treatments and outstanding technicians.”
Among the new ESPA-based treatments is the “Creekside Body Cocoon,” created exclusively for The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. It features a choice of a mineral-rich mud wrap or deeply-detoxifying algae wrap, combined with a nourishing scalp massage, moisturizing treatment, and personalized aromatherapy.
Other new ESPA treatments include the “Therapeutic Aromatherapy Massage,” which allows guests to consult with an expert in choosing a personalized blend of essential oils for their massage. The “Four Elements” is a four-stage experience featuring a scrub, nourishing massage, red-clay head massage, and gentle stretch session. The “Personalized Facial by ESPA” combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, steam, and a treatment-specific massage and masque tailored to each client.
Responding to a rapidly growing interest in spas, specifically for men, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee has opened “The Gents’ Place.” Built around a classic barber chair, this private room—with a large flat-screen television tuned to the customer’s favorite show or sporting event—offers a number of services including shaves with old-fashioned steel razors, shoe shines, mustache trims, haircuts, and nail grooming. Guests enjoying a 50- or 80- minute treatment also will be treated to complimentary bourbon tastings including the opportunity to sample a small-batch Woodford Reserve blend created exclusively for the resort.
“We wanted to create a combination of exclusive grooming services and extra touches tailored to our male spa guests,” says Sherrie Huebner, Spa Director at the hotel. “The Gents’ Place does just that by merging interests that men have always cherished—a good shave, shoe shine, and, of course, bourbon.”
