Jason Plazola, Director of Food and Beverage at Reynolds Lake Oconee, recently gathered fifty members of his service team for routine training on wines, but the class would prove to be anything but ordinary.
Janet Trefethen was their teacher for the day. As an owner and founding family member of Trefethen Family Vineyards in Napa Valley and one of the industry’s first female executives, she knows a thing or two about wine.
“This class was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the ladies and gentlemen of our service team to sit directly with a Napa Valley icon and learn from the best of the best,” said Plazola. “The ability for our team to learn in-person from Janet Trefethen about these world-class wines and history will no doubt inspire them to bring that story directly to our Members and throughout our restaurants and special events.”
