This past Saturday, the Membership department hosted a New Member Dinner at the Lake Club Ballroom; welcoming over 40 of the Club’s newest members, as well as members who have just moved into the community. The new faces of Reynolds Lake Oconee had the chance to mix and mingle with other new fellow residents and get an overview of the operational aspects of the Club.
Attendees also had the opportunity to meet various department heads and executives to get a true sense of what life at their new club is all about. Representatives from various departments, including golf, food and beverage, marina services, property owners association, tennis and the Linger Longer Living series, were all eager to share their department activities and answer any questions new members may have.
Attendees were extremely thankful for the evening opportunity and several even made plans to get together with new friends the following weekend. According to Vice President of Membership, Laurie Cicco, that’s certainly not a rare occurrence. “We really want our new members to feel welcome in their new community,” says Cicco, who is usually one of the first faces that members see upon joining The Club at Reynolds Lake Oconee. “I still hear stories from members who tell me how they are great friends with people they met at one of these dinners. Some will be as much as ten years later!”
The New Member Dinner occurs three times a year and welcomes up to 40 members. The dinner rotates among various locations that include the Lake Club, The Landing, Plantation and Great Waters.
