“This award is an acknowledgement of the hard work that a lot of talented people have contributed to The National Tavern,” said Rabun Neal, president Reynolds Lake Oconee. “It also shows the dedication of Reynolds Lake Oconee to its members and community to provide a premier luxury golf lifestyle. Continued additions and improvements to our facilities will always be a part of that commitment.”

A casual restaurant and lounge at the heart of the club, The National Tavern is the resort’s sixth clubhouse. Exemplifying Southern charm and functional for golfers, the new facility is located on a commanding hillside overlooking the finishing hole of the Tom Fazio designed National golf course.
Voters for the Golden Fork Awards noted that the $4.5 million project is a “perfect gathering place,” with the “large wrap-around porch” serving as a standout exterior feature.
Led by Executive Chef Derin Moore, The Tavern is the centerpiece of The National Golf Village. The craftsman-style farmhouse design, complete with a large stacked stone fireplace, creates a welcoming environment for residents and guests. The outdoor fire pit area, practice putting green and golf course views, The Tavern’s casual open-air dining options will encourage guests to linger longer after either dinner or a round of golf.
