Those are the words used by Ralph Vick, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, to describe the recent multi-million-dollar transformation of the 257 rooms, designed to give them the same spirit of effortless lake life that the property’s full-time residents enjoy.
Every guest room, suite and cottage, along with The Ritz-Carlton Club Level Lounge, has been reimagined to feel as much as a stylish lakeside home as possible, right down to the hints of nostalgia that beckon guests to “linger longer” and forge new memories. The transformed accommodations take their design cues from the resort’s surroundings, beginning with a soothing palette of cream, grey, green, and blue that complements the natural backdrop. Elements of wood and wicker take inspiration from the Georgia pines and lakefront docks, while original artwork and fun accessories enhance the sense of place. Even the bathrooms will receive a luxurious overhaul, complete with natural stone floors, pebbled accent tiles complementing wooden vanities, and soft cream-colored counters.
And that’s only the beginning.
The resort’s transformation will continue into the fall with exciting changes and enhancements. A new Family Pool will be built along the lake’s shoreline, allowing the sparkling infinity pool to become a relaxing, adults-only area. Just a stone’s throw from the sandy beach and lake activities, this Family Pool will allow kids and families to splash all day long.
Committed to the family experience and creating lifelong memories, a special focus is being placed on the resort’s youngest guests with the creation of a brand-new, expanded Ritz Kids Clubhouse near the playground and Family Pool, serving as a home base for all things fun.
This dramatic transformation joins the addition of the new Barrel Room, and refresh of the resort’s culinary destinations including Linger Longer Steakhouse and Gaby’s by the Lake, which all debuted in 2019. The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee will continue to be elevated through design and new partnerships and programming that transport guests on a journey into effortless lake life.
