James McDuffie has joined the team at Reynolds Lake Oconee as Director of Facilities Maintenance. McDuffie brings over 25 years of experience in facilities maintenance and operations and will emphasize on preventative and predictive maintenance, property condition assessments and prioritized work order completion in his new role.
Originally from Macon, GA, McDuffie spent most of his life in nearby Milledgeville where he held the position of Assistant Director of Facilities and Plant Operations at Oconee Regional Medical Center for the past 10 years. McDuffie also worked with YKK, USA, a manufacturer of zippers, hooks and loops, plastic parts; where he received the Kaizen Award, Japan’s highest award for improvement and innovation, on five separate occasions. McDuffie is a certified instructor in Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and has participated in Six Sigma Training and 5S Implementation, both focusing on overall process improvement.
McDuffie’s immediate goal is to implement a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in hopes of making Reynolds Lake Oconee efficient in turns of preventative maintenance. “Reynolds is such a beautiful, well maintained community and I am honored to work with such a talented department,” says McDuffie. “The CMMS will help jumpstart our goal of creating a well-defined maintenance program with all Club facilities.”

Outside of his career, James enjoys spending time on his Lake Sinclair home with wife Sherry, daughter Jordan, son Alan Michael, and two dogs, Marilyn and Pressley. He currently serves on the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Bicycle/Pedestrian Committee to promote healthier living and to provide more convenient travel throughout the community. McDuffie also loves fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends.
