However golfers like to travel—alone, in pairs and foursomes, or in big groups—a new golf experience vacation to meet their preferences is available at Reynolds Lake Oconee, Georgia’s award-winning golf destination, located between Atlanta and Augusta.
Designed for the single or twosome, the traditional Stay & Play Package includes one round of golf per person, per night of stay, with accommodations in a lake cottage or condominium. Golfers have a selection of golf experiences on courses designed by architects Jack Nicklaus (Great Waters), Bob Cupp (The Preserve, The Landing), Rees Jones (The Oconee), and Tom Fazio (The National).
Those who like to travel with a group of golf (and non-golfer) buddies will want to try The National Village Experience, staying in the recently unveiled National Club Cottages and playing unlimited golf at The National for each night of stay, including the day of arrival. Golf may also be booked at The Preserve and The Landing courses at no additional charge or The Oconee and Great Waters for an additional signature course fee.
The luxury four-bedroom, four-bath National Club Cottages are a short walk from the golf shop and The National Tavern, which has proven to be wildly popular with members and guests since opening last year. To take advantage of the close proximity, a $100 club credit is included for the group for each night of stay, which may be used at dining venues and golf shops throughout Reynolds Lake Oconee (with the exception of The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee).
Both Stay & Play and The National Village Experience golf packages include breakfast each morning, a shared cart for each round, complete range access, and bag storage. All guests at Reynolds Lake Oconee have access to club fitting and instruction at the Reynolds Kingdom of Golf presented by TaylorMade.
The Stay & Play Package starts at $229 during non-peak season and goes up to $299 for peak season. An extra 18 holes on the day of arrival or departure is available at $99 per person. A minimum of two golfers is required; additional $100 per night for any non-golfer.
The National Village Experience is $289 per person, per night for four guests ($329 for three guests). Two-night minimum required; additional $100 per night for any non-golfer.
These packages and rates are valid through December 31, 2017; black-out dates may apply.
Along with its world-class golf courses, Reynolds Lake Oconee features four marinas, the Lake Club wellness center, and an award-winning tennis center.
The popular vacation destination continues to unveil renovations, part of a $50 million investment made to the golf courses and clubhouses by MetLife since 2012. Additionally, the rooms, suites, restaurants, spa, and pools of The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee have been redecorated and refurbished.
