As fall will soon begin its descent on the Lake Country, temperatures start to cool and the leaves begin to turn vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow. Golf, always a favorite pastime, continues to thrive, with temperatures cool enough for a round of golf in the morning but still amply warm for enjoying an afternoon on Lake Oconee.
The cadence of life at Reynolds and in the Lake Country does not cool off though. With annual Member events, local festivals, and traditions of ballgames and performances, fall is a time of year that many Reynolds Members eagerly look forward to. Rhythm & Brews - The 5th annual Rhythm & Brews Festival5th annual Rhythm & Brews Festival is hosted again at the beautiful Sandy Creek Barn, with the headlining act being the Two-Time Grammy nominee Barenaked Ladies. Featuring over 30 craft breweries and wineries for your tasting delight, this is always an evening to look forward to in the Lake Country. October 22nd, 2022
Broadway Sings for OPAS – The Oconee Performing Arts Society, an organization that offers a variety of high-quality arts experiences to Lake Country residents, presents Broadway Sings for OPAS. With Tony Award-Winning Conductor Stuart Malina, Phantom of the Opera legend Lisa Vroman, and the star of Wicked and Cats, Mamie Parris, these Broadway stars descend on the Lake Country for an awe-inspiring performance. TAKE 3 at the Plaza Arts Center – A local arts center that produces numerous performance each year from local and national talent, this fall the Plaza Arts Center is excited to bring TAKE3, a genre-defying trio that infuses classic and rock music, to the Lake Country. November 12th 2022
Fall Chef Showcase featuring Grgich Hills Estate of Napa Valley - A walk-around style event where Reynolds Lake Oconee Chefs and Sommeliers will be cooking and pouring live, Chefs will also be preparing their culinary creations in the spirit of friendly competition while our Members judge the winner, along with the iconic wines of Napa Valley’s Grgich Hills Estate and special guest, Proprietor Violet Grgich. Lighting at The Ritz-Carlton – The perfect way to cap the fall season, ring in the holidays with The Ritz Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee’s annual Lighting of the Lake! Enjoy apple cider as you watch the switch flipped to the grand 36-foot Christmas tree, illuminating over 500,000 lights lining the hotel and kicking off the holiday season at the lake.
Outside of the Lake Country
Perched almost directly between Atlanta and Augusta, Reynolds offers convenient proximity to the regional attractions of the greater Southeast. Ideally situated on Georgia’s inland coast, Reynolds is a manageable drive away from a number of additional fall events, activities, and festivals.
Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival – Just a short drive down I-20 sits the beautiful city of Augusta. Famously home to The Masters, Augusta is also a city of vibrancy and charm, offering a bustling downtown filled with restaurants and breweries, historic sites, a thriving arts community and much more. The Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival is always a favorite, as it showcases fine arts and crafts, music and international cuisine. September 16th-18th, 2022
Georgia Bulldogs Football – Just a short drive away from the lake is Athens, home of the 2021 National Champion University of Georgia Bulldogs. With a top-5 ranking, one of the most passionate fanbases in the country, and the charm of Athens, spending a Saturday afternoon ‘between the hedges’ is a great experience.
For those interested in other iconic collegiate stadiums, the campuses of Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and more can all be reached in just a few hours (or less) drive.
Atlanta Food & Wine Festival – One of the state's largest food fests, Atlanta Food & Wine Festival showcases more than 250 chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and industry insiders from 13 Southern states. September 13th-18th, 2022
Oktoberfest in Helen - The longest running Oktoberfest in the United States, the charming North Georgia mountain city of Helen will be celebrating its 50th Oktoberfest this year! Enjoy multiple weeks of traditional dancing, food, and, of course, beer. Thursday to Sunday through September and daily from Sept. 29 to Oct. 30, 2022
